Prices listed below are an approximate total amount that you can expect to pay. The estimated prices are based on a beef with a live weight of 1,400 pounds, but weights can and will vary. The hanging weight (a.k.a. dressed or carcass weight) at the locker is typically 63-64% of the live weight. Using 63.5%, the hanging weight of an animal with a 1,400 live weight will be about 890 pounds. This weight is what your total cost will be based on. A hanging weight of 890 pounds will give you a final yield of approximately 535 pounds of meat from a full beef. Processing typically runs in the $0.85-$0.95/pound range depending on which locker processes the beef, cutting instructions, packaging, etc. The average cost of the meat that goes into your freezer will be about $5.75-6.00/pound. Our beef is hormone free, corn fed and out of registered Angus cattle.

Three-quarters Beef – $2,300 (approximately $3.45/lb. based on hanging weight)
